Position

General Manager/Deputy General Manager, Human Resources, BRAC Enterprises

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Providing insights in developing organisational strategies by identifying analyzing human resources related issues; formulating short and long term HR strategy of the enterprises in line with organisational strategy.
  • Implementing human resources strategies by establishing departmental accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, compensation & benefits, staff development, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations, retention etc.
  • Implementing the change management initiatives of BRAC Enterprises by delivering appropriate HR solutions.
  • Ensuring effective manpower plan annually and coordinate the onboarding process in order to ensure the right people in the right place at the right time.
  • Reviewing organization chart periodically and provide guidance to the business/department heads to restructure for optimum use of the human resources.
  • Supporting management and employee by analyzing, developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organisation values.
  • Coordinating among all business/department heads regarding people management function and provide necessary strategic input and support to maintain a high level of performance.
  • Developing and reviewing periodically compensation and benefit strategy including incentives and bonuses for enterprises to attract and retain talent; and to drive performance.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Requirements

Educational Requirements:

  • Graduate in any discipline 

Experience Requirement:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in HR management and proven experience as Head of HR /Sr. Level position in business organizations

Additional Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge on Bangladesh Labor Laws, strategic Human Resource Management, change Management, organizational development initiatives, Performance Management System
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Strong strategic thinking ability along with good analytical, problem solving and networking skills
