Assistant Manager, HR (BRAC Printing Pack)

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Update the employee status regularly and maintain the personnel-related data such as hires, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates etc.
  • Monitor the employee attendance, leave, overtime etc and prepare the monthly leave statement for the payroll purpose.
  • Control the casual worker number as per actual and justified necessity.
  • Responsible for prepare the weekly/monthly HR report like factory’s manpower report including casual staffs number, left/resigned/separated/terminated staffs number, staffs  attendance, leave, overtime , extra time , productivity report , cost optimization report, factory compliance report, grievance report , training completion status , awareness session completion status etc and submit within the timeframe of every month.
  • Ensure on time benefit disbursement (to check authentication) to the employees by maintaining the close relationship with the accounts department.
  • Perform in other related works like promotion, posting, termination, dismissal, discharge of employees of the company.
  • Assist to develop the job descriptions, organogram and policy and procedures of BPP Factory as and when required.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and statutory procedures in HR management and labor laws.
  • Planning and conducting the new employee orientation.
  • Build and maintain effective working relations with management and employees and provide best services, advice and counsel to the employees as and when required.
  • Assist to prepare & conduct yearly training calendar of BPP Factory and to arrange the various awareness training for the workers on the benefits, overtime calculation procedure, company’s personnel policy, safety, health, hygiene and compliance etc.
  • Handle grievance and disciplinary action of the employees and workers in accordance with labor law and company policy.
  • Assist to prepare the different draft and report as directed by the immediate superior and maintain proper relationship with head office.
  • Assist to prepare and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for different units & departments.
  • Acting as a Gender Focal Person (GFP) to support, guide and maintain equality regarding gender and justice of business units.
  • Perform any other jobs as assigned by the supervisor/ Head of the Department.
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.



Educational Requirements:

The candidate must have Graduation/ Post Graduation in HRM/ Business Administration/ Management /Public Administration/ any subject with minimum 2nd division/class or equivalent GPA/CGPA in all academic examinations. Diploma in PGD HRM is also required.

Experience Requirement:

The candidate must have 3 years’ experience in factory HR Management.

Additional Requirements:

  • Sound knowledge in HR, people management, customer service and labor law.
  • Excellent coordination, negotiation, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Competencies on team management, partnership building, financial and cost effectiveness
  • Should be adaptive, gender sensitive and empathetic.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
