Position

Product Manager, Vegetable (BRAC Seed and Agro Enterprise)

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Prepare product plan and marketing tactics of vegetable seed aiming to enhance business of portfolio and build stronger brand compliant to BRAC’s strategic goal of value creation.
  • Prepare annual marketing plan and for controlling advertising, promotion and sales aids in accordance with the annual marketing plan. Prepare product forecasts, and constantly monitoring inventory levels held at central and interface warehouses including liaison with production to ensure supply timelines.
  • Design the crop as product through proper packaging, information, organize product demonstration, field day, meeting, seminar, and fair at different beneficiary levels.
  • Communicate to principles; propose purchase of product based on future demand or competitors’ variety.
  • Propose crop/variety-wise sales commission and incentive plan for both trade members and sales and marketing team and design other product offer to increase sales.
  • Formulate price structure analyzing different cost elements and profit objective, and provide input to sales force to increase the market share.
  • Carry out market research to assess customer attitudes to the current product range and new product introductions.
  • Positions the new products (segmentation, technical / commercial positioning) and coordinates the PDS and sales team

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Requirements

Educational Requirements:

  • The candidate should have Graduation, Post Graduation (Graduate / Masters preferably in Agriculture/BBA/MBA) from any government approved institute with minimum GPA or CGPA 2.50 or 2nd division/ class or equivalent result in all academic examinations.
  • Post graduate certificate course on Seed Technology is required.
