Position: Sector Specialist - Livestock, IDP (Contractual)

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Provide technical guidance to field staff for implementing entrepreneurship and value chain development activities
Design the issues of production and marketing techniques for the VDO producers and local vendors
Build capacity of the field team to explore livelihoods options through small scale agricultural business and value chain development for the project participants and ensure implementation of those
Ensure that unit management, administrative and financial structures are maintained by all field staff
Ensure that project activities outputs and impacts are rigorously monitored and reported
Maintain liaisons with DAE, DLO, BARI, private sector, market and dealers as needed
Ensure project report and documentation particularly in enterprise and value chain activities
Develop team spirit and supportive attitudes among project personnel and different stake holders
Educational Requirements:
Masters in Veterinary / Animal Husbandry from any recognized University with minimum second class / division or equivalent GPA / CGPA in academic examinations. No 3rd division / class or below CGPA is acceptable
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 2 years
Additional Job Requirements:

Work experience in National / International NGOs
Able to develop training modules and technical guidelines of business and value chain development intervention
Have facilitation and interpersonal skills with communication and presentation skills
Have good command in MS Office
Skills on team building and leading capacity and ability to work under pressure
Ability to plan and small scale poultry – livestock rearing, collective marketing and value chain development of agricultural product
