Position: Field Coordinator, Urban Development Programme

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Oversee implementation of Urban Development Programme (UDP) interventions at the district/ city level keeping alignment with the UDP objectives
Network and liaison with Mayor, Councilor’s, and city / municipality authority for ensuring coordinated service delivery.
Maintain strong communication and networking with municipality and city corporations, and elected local representatives to ensure their engagement in social accountability initiatives
Follow up field level implementation in each cities and town under UDP coverage
Monitor progress of the project and ensure smooth field delivery of the activities.
Organise training, workshops and different events at the field level according to annual targets
Support to the technical department of UDP for effective urban interventions
Organise and manage regular team meetings with field staff, informal catch up meetings and external meetings as necessary and to ensure meeting notes and action points are distributed to deadline
Monitor and evaluate the performance of programme and community organiser (in urban development context)
Identify, plan and organise capacity development trainings/ workshops of the programme organisers
Educational Requirements:
Masters in any discipline from any recognised university with all second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in academic examinations. No 3rd division/ class or below CGPA is acceptable
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 4 years’ experience with NGOs or international development organisation, where 1 year experience in the urban poverty reduction/ livelihoods/ planning and governance project or programme
Additional Job Requirements:

Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large scale and complex projects.
Have knowledge on current national and global development trends related to urban poverty and urban development.
Have skills on community organising and social mobilisation.
Excellent communication, presentation, organisation and negotiation skills
Skills in documentation, facilitation & reporting
Strong analytical skills and possess a proven track record of working successfully in a variety of cultural contexts
Awareness of political processes and protocols
