Position: Assistant Chief Engineer

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of project
Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel
Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority
Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget
Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans are required
Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
Coordinates project activities with activities of Government regulatory or other Governmental agencies
Study the contract documents like specification, B. O. Q (Bill of Quantities) and drawings thoroughly and compare with the Tender stage Civil documents and inform the authority in regards to any discrepancy
Coordinate for all requirements of drawing, materials, manpower, transportation etc. Ensure accuracy of all drawings and documents with zero discrepancies
Prepare or review discipline project specifications
Provide suitable work instructions/ method statements for all activities of company personnel/ sub contractors’ personnel where absence of such works instructions/method statements would adversely affect the quality of the final work
Carriers out supervisory and project management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, industry best practices and as established by any applicable laws
Educational Requirements:
B.Sc Civil Engineering from any recognised university with minimum all second class / division or equivalent GPA / CGPA in academic examinations. No 3rd division / class or below CGPA 2.50 is acceptable
Experience Requirements:
At least 10 to 12 years’ experience
