Position: Manager, Protocol (Contractual), Humanitarian Crisis Management Project

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Provide protocol services to foreign delegates, visitors, donors and maintain liaison with different government bodies at local and national level
Arrange visitor’s schedule, keep up visitor’s list and organise different workshop, meeting, seminar etc.
Ensure formal invitation of foreign visitors, donors, UN delegates
Develop and maintain a network of contacts, receive delegates, ensure proper escort services, arrange appointments etc.
Advise programme management on policy procedures regarding protocol
Liaise with respective internal authorities and external counterparts regarding transportation & accommodation for VIPs, guests and delegates
Develop and maintain reliable sources of information about ongoing activities of NGOs and INGOs regarding FDMN/ HCMP
Keep updated on government policy/ circular/ rules and regulations
Write project reports and keep these reports up-to-date on different protocol matters at site
Ensure necessary protocol and maintain liaison with national and foreign visitors
Organise, participate and represent BRAC in international/ national meetings with participants from Governments, intergovernmental organisations, NGOs, INGOs and civil societies
Maintain liaison between BRAC and GO, NGOs and UN agencies
Educational Requirements:
Masters/ Bachelors preferably in Social Science/ International Relations/ Public Administration or any other relevant subjects from any recognised national/ international university/ institutions with minimum 2nd class/ division in all academic examination
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of work experience is required
Additional Job Requirements:

Knowledge of protocol in a governmental or international organisation including experience of working with the GoB
Have Sound Knowledge on International Affairs
Ability to apply various administrative rules and regulations in work situations
Strong Conceptual, analytical and evaluative skills to conduct independent research and analysis
Ability to identify issues, formulate opinions, make conclusions and recommendations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated behavioral etiquette
Proven ability to draft statements, talking points, briefing notes and other documentation
Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability
Leads teams effectively and shows mentoring as well as conflict resolution skills
