Position: Regional Coordinator, Urban Development Programme

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Oversee implementation of Urban Development Programme (UDP) interventions at the regional level keeping alignment with the UDP objectives
Guide and supervise Field Coordinators to ensure all regional level targets are met according to annual plan.
Maintain strong communication and networking with the other BRAC programmes, NGO’s and government agencies for ensuring coordinated service delivery
Maintain collaboration with city/ municipality authority, UDD, Rajuk, KDA, CDA, RDA for programme implementation
Assist the knowledge management and programme development team to design interventions for addressing urban challenges
Maintain liaison with Mayor, councilor’s, city/ municipality authority for ensuring service delivery
Organise and manage regular team meetings with field staffs, informal catch up meetings and external meetings as
Monitor progress of the project and ensure smooth field delivery of the activities
Identify, plan and organise capacity development trainings/ workshops of the field staffs (urban development)
Prepare monthly, quarterly progress reports and share with the Head Office
Educational Requirements:
Masters in any discipline from any recognised university with all second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in academic examinations. No 3rd division/ class or below CGPA is acceptable.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience with NGOs or international development organisation, including 3 years’ experience in the urban poverty reduction/ livelihoods/ planning and governance project or programme
Additional Job Requirements:

Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large scale and complex projects
Have knowledge on current national and global development trends related to urban poverty and urban development
Competence in analysing the social and gender dynamics within urban set up
Have skills on community organising and social mobilisation.
Excellent communication, presentation, organisation and negotiation skills
Skills in documentation, facilitation & reporting
Strong analytical skills and possess a proven track record of working successfully in a variety of cultural contexts
Awareness of political processes and protocols
Age Range: Maximum 40 years
