Position: Assistant Manager, Communications, Skills Development Programme (SDP)

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Provide support for documenting and disseminating lessons learned and good practices on programme’s related work in collaboration with BRAC’s Communications and Advocacy Department and SDP’s respective focal
Track opportunities for the program to collaborate on TVET, youth skills development, decent work, social inclusion, informal sector employment related studies with external/ international organisations
Take part in external seminars, summits, events etc. to connect with potential partners and donors and ensure regular conversation with Australian Aid and UKaid in collusion with BRAC Donor Liaison Office
Participate in different knowledge management forum/ seminar/ conference on skills development and guide SDP staff accordingly to capture learning/ good practices
Assist to develop media engagement strategies for SDP
Cultivate relationships and connections with existing print and electronic media, track media trends and promote news about SDP’s activities, events and stories
Keep track of media coverage using google alert or similar application
Update list of upcoming engagement events, maintain event calendar, collect event reports and follow up action plans
Assist to develop innovative social media strategies for BRAC ISD for facebook and possibly other relevant social media platforms
Manage social media properties, write stories, take photos and shoot video to be published on SDP social media networks
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Communication/ International Relations/ English/ Economics/ Public Administration/ Management or any other related subject from any recognised university/ institution with minimum 2nd division/ class or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations. No 3rd division/ class or below CGPA is acceptable
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' experience in the field of communications is required. Candidates having experience in knowledge management and report writing will be preferred
Additional Job Requirements:

Sound conceptual knowledge on major elements associated with development/ NGO management
Good understanding on key development issues in the context of urban and rural Bangladesh
Excellent English language and basic Bangla communication skills
Ability to build effective working relationships with internal/ external functions and have analytical and problem solving skills
Able to tackle challenges constructively, and find creative ways forward
Age Range: Maximum 32 years
