Position: Sector Specialist, Data Analysis & Documentation-C4D (Contractual); HCMP

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain an information management system in accordance with BRAC guidance to facilitate humanitarian information exchange and the promotion of data and information standards
Design, develop and manage databases, spreadsheets and other data tools; understand, document, and ensure the quality of high-value humanitarian data for accuracy, consistency and comparability
Organise, design and carry out the evaluation and analysis of location specific datasets through meaningful statistical techniques
Provide advice on assessment design to ensure data quality; manage platforms and tools that support data collection and analysis such as Kobo Toolbox and Open Data Kit (ODK)
Carry out daily monitoring visits, focus group discussions, participatory assessments, key informant interviews etc. for information collection
Provide training and assistance to develop staff skills in participatory and qualitative design, monitoring approaches, to implement realistic monitoring plans that capture quantitative and qualitative data
Ensure quality documentation of all raw data and their analysis
Produce quality narrative reports using field data and their analysis
Collect best practices, case studies and relevant stories from field and produce quality documents
Achieve all documents and evidences in electronic and where necessary printed medium
Coordinate with field monitoring officers to collect necessary data and information ensuring quality within deadline
Support Team Lead, Project Manager and Grant Manager providing progress indication with data analysis
Lead production of high quality, evidence-based donor compliant, humanitarian cluster like Communications with Community (CWC) and BRAC management reports
Support to strategy design and development of C4D activities
Contribute to proposal development and fund-raising activities for future funding
Any other duties assigned by the supervisor or management in emergency situation
Educational Requirements:
Master’s/ Bachelor’s in Social Science/ Behavioral Science/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ English/ Communication or any other relevant subject from any recognised university/ institutions with minimum 2nd division/ class or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 03 years of progressively responsible relevant professional work experience in the development or humanitarian response area
Additional Job Requirements:

Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of theories, concepts and approaches relevant to the management of information, data analysis and documentation
Proven skills and competencies to work with MS Office and data analysis and presentation packages
Have knowledge on qualitative and quantitative M&E system, large data-based management of emergency response intervention
Experience in documentation support functions, such as referencing and terminology, editing and handling of official documentation is an asset
Excellent communication and articulation skills, awareness of socio-economic and political sensitivities
Effective communication, report writing and presentation for external and internal audiences.
Understanding in evidence-based behavior change practices
Understanding about projects Management, PRA and Logical Framework
Excellent speaking and writing skill in Bangla and English
