Position: Director, Finance and Accounts, BRAC International

Job Description/Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for formulating and driving the financial strategy of Stichting BRAC International and BRAC International Holdings BV, leading the financial direction to support the viability of BRAC International’s multiple and multi-dimensional entities including its MFIs, social enterprises and NGOs.This role reports to the Executive Director and works with Senior Directors, Directors, Programme Anchors, Head of different programmes/divisions/departments/enterprise, donors, BRAC USA, BRAC UK, Donors and Country Representatives of BRAC International countries. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following-
Support the Executive Director in developing BRAC International (BI) strategies and business and financial plans
Be accountable for the financial strategy of BRAC International and its multi-dimensional institutions, providing recommendations to senior management and the Board.
Lead the financial management including budgeting, reporting and forecasting - establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation, prepare the annual budget in consultation with the Executive Director and plan for execution of the budgets
Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, donor fund management, and petty cash for BRAC International countries in order to minimise the financial risk; analyse financial change in the environment and advise the management accordingly
Responsible for completion of the annual audit for BRAC International countries. Discuss audit issues with auditors and follow up with country teams on the implementation
Develop, implement and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures of BRAC International
Monitor all legislation relevant to the organisation and all regulations to ensure that the organisation is compliant
Educational Requirements:
Masters in Finance and Accounting
Experience Requirements:

10-15 years of experience in Finance and Accounts with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Experience of operating at a senior level and having held accountability for an operation or unit of some complexity, including both in terms of people and financial resources
