Senior Media Manager, Strategy and Partnership, Communications Department

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Proactively explore, propose and execute strategic content partnerships with leading media through innovative planning and intervention.
Plan and execute placement of strategic content in mainstream media.
Liaise with media monitoring and PR agency in preparing daily, weekly and monthly media monitoring reports and analysis.
Contribute in developing a crisis tracking and rebuttal mechanism by establishing a strong network between the media team and regional journalists
Prepare articles and press releases for the media.
Develop relationships with national and regional press contacts to ensure the organisation’s reputation is promoted and to deflect criticism and handle crisis.
Plan and oversee press events.



Educational Requirements: Master’s in Mass Communication and Journalism/Media Studies/English (literature or language)/ Development Studies from any recognised university


Experience Requirement:
At least 6-7 years as a senior reporter in a national newspaper/online media/television.
Experience of working for a PR/media monitoring/media buying agency will be an advantage.
