Coordinator, Men & Boys Engagement – GBV (Contractual); HCMP

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Lead the Men and Boys engagement team to devise strategies to engage men and boys in community mobilisation efforts aimed at creating a protective environment for women and girls
Conduct GBV risk assessments with men and boys to gather information about safety and security of women and girls in their community and existing protection mechanisms
Implement the Semnani Family Foundation project of male engagement in protection
Assist in the recruitment and orientation of staff in the program
Act as the focal point of GBVIMS and GBVIMS+
Design a culturally appropriate strategy for men and boys engagement programming
Develop a training curriculum for each target audience
Establish training schedule and weekly lesson plan; ensure that all required logistics are in place
Coordinate advocacy campaigns to sensitive men on the harmful effects of violence against women and other practices that discriminate against women
Deliver training directly, and/ or supervise trainers
In collaboration with the team lead, establish a project log frame and timetable with clear objectives and deliverables, including clear targets and indicators to measure change.
Conduct focus group discussion, key informant interviews, post-training follow up, pre- and post-tests, and other data collection activities as needed
Provide inputs to the development of new proposals for MABE work
Actively address challenges in program implementation and propose solutions to the team lead



Educational Requirements: Bachelors or Masters in Social Science/ Gender Studies or any other relevant subject from any reputed university/ institutions


Experience Requirement: Minimum 03 years of experience in relevant field

Additional Requirements:
Sound knowledge of Gender Base Violence and Protection in emergency context
Good knowledge of project planning and implementation
Excellent team spirit and community mobilisation skill
English: fluency in the language, expected to work independently using the language required, to prepare a variety of written communications (correspondence, reports, working papers, etc.), to participate actively in meetings and in work related discussions.
Familiar with MS Office, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
