Head, Platform, Technology Division


Job Description/Responsibilities:

Works closely with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, management (internal and external to IT) on a continuing basis regarding technical strategy for assigned projects/products, as well as works on business issues related to their short-term operations or strategic long-term direction.
Ensure Platform as a Service (PaaS) on Google cloud to customers on demand on boarding.
Partner with key national/international tech company and vendors to establish onshore and offshore delivery of services.
Partner with program/ support function and finance management to ensure solutions and services are delivered within budget and on time.
Establish and continuously improve on key measures for cloud application platforms availability, performance and SLAs for services delivered to outsource vendors and business partners.
Continue to deliver and refine strategy for cloud application platforms to program/support function and third party vendors.
Strategise on the vision, define roadmap, develop and manage architecture, technical solutions & teams for the new generation of data platform & products capabilities.
Collaborate and align with data architects and senior technologists on proper architecture and design.
Drive recommendations for business prioritisation, resource optimisation and efficiency improvements.
Guide teams to improve development agility and productivity
Drive Innovation and lead teams to implement solutions with future thinking.
Identify new opportunities for data platforms in BRAC context. Work with senior management and executives to set the vision, strategy and goals for data mart/big data.
Build Network and Cloud Security program.
Oversee and manage user experience design team, including brand, operation, platform and research.
Attend conferences, professional meetings and developing relationships with leaders or experts and industry to help understanding future regulations and trends and to keep abreast of current and future cyber protection and mitigation technologies
Oversee processes and develop tools for cyber security protection and mitigation plan.
Evaluate, advise, standardise and support of open source/ third party tools that are implemented in organisation needs.

Requirements

Educational Requirements: BSc/ MSc/ MBA preferably in MIS/ Software Engineering/ Computer Science or related discipline from any recognised educational institute with minimum second class/ division or equivalent GPA / CGPA in all academic examinations.

Experience Requirement: Minimum 7 to 8 years of working experience and a broad understanding of the engineering landscape- stretching across cloud, infrastructure, networks, platforms, consumer products, emerging technology standards and trends.


Additional Requirements:
Extensive technical knowledge of a broad range of platforms, web-based distribution and streaming including defining product roadmaps and long-term plans.
Demonstrable in depth knowledge and firsthand experience with modern complex development tool chains, bug tracking systems, continuous integration and version control systems in both commercial and open source/agile settings.
Track record of specifying, developing and delivering software applications in a range of standards and languages.
Strong and demonstrable software development and release engineering skills. The ability to do so in distributed environments and/or environments without direct line management or without intense face to face contact is valuable.
Demonstrable knowledge of existing and emerging technologies and their potential to enhance the performance and robustness of the internet infrastructure.
Experience of working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams with a focus on delivery in a rapidly changing environment.
Working knowledge of Programme Management, e.g. Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), Prince2, Open Source development processes and/or agile project management tools and methodologies.
