Programme Head, WASH

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Contribute towards development of WASH budgets, funding concepts and proposals through analysis of field data and actual costs incurred on activity implementation
Lead designing WASH strategies, and implementation plans considering the contexts and requirements
Coordination with different agencies: donor, government and other stakeholders for technical guidance and fund management
Liaison, engagement and relationship management with key programme stakeholders, including national and local government, beneficiary institutions, and international development partners
Ensuring the capture and dissemination of lesson/stories/case studies related to the delivery of programme results, as part of the wider communication, publicity and visibility effort
Inter programme coordination and support within BRAC for synergy and smoother implementation of the programmes
Provide guidance the team on the whole and represent/engage in relevant forums to reach the goal
Represent BRAC to government, different forums, partners, donors and other stakeholders, and develop and maintain productive relationships
Ensure all kinds of reports according to programme objectives, required standards and meet reporting quality of donors, partners and affiliates
Overseeing the performance management of all programme staff and carrying out further recruitment as needed
Management and oversight of programme monitoring and evaluation systems and processes, in collaboration with the dedicated monitoring and evaluation team



Educational Requirements: B.Sc in Civil Engineering/ M.Sc/ MSS/ MPH or any other relevant discipline


Experience Requirement: Minimum 10 years of experience where at least 5 years in project management at WASH sector

Additional Requirements:
Proven understanding and hands on experience in managing large and complex donor funded projects
Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques

Programme design and planning & implementation

Conflict Management skills
Flexible and adaptable with good interpersonal skills and a ‘can-do’ approach
Professional network within the related sector in Bangladesh and beyond
