Position: Head, Special Project, Technology Division

Job Description/Responsibilities:

The planning of project resources that includes human resources, infrastructure resources and financial resources to ensure proper distribution resources.
Assemble and lead the special project team- Formation of team, assign tasks and deadline. Get the regular status updates from the project team. Effective uses of resources and relocation as when needed.
Provide assistance to internal PMU team and relevant tech team to prepare roll out of tech pilot and large scale special projects.
Play the consulted role to assist the head of PMU for the portfolio of organisational projects, provide expert judgment, knowledge, support and monitor progress and report to head of programme of overall portfolio status of projects.
Manage special projects/ programme with direct supervision in collaboration with programme head.
Design, develop and implement the project management best practices that is suitable for managing special projects and ensure that project compliance are strictly followed as set by the PMU.
The team lead of special project is expected to provide strong leadership in a complex and matrix projectile environment to promote project management best practices in order to ensure successful project delivery.
This role will also ensure that, the project resources have the relevant skills, knowledge and tools and they are practicing the guidelines provided by PMU. Ability to liaise with people at all levels of the organisation.
Responsible for directing the project team to manage the project scope, budget and schedule.
Work closely with Business Services teams (as well as internal and external project partners where appropriate) to devise, develop and deliver appropriate and proportionate systems to evaluate key activities at a project level.
Ensure that information recorded in both electronic and hard copy meets with internal and external audit standards.
Ability to monitor and report on project budgets across the portfolio at stakeholder and Sponsor levels.
Encourage knowledge transfer and lessons learnt activities within the PMU and business project teams to drive best practice.
Focused on Technology division's AOP objectives, activates and deliverables.
Educational Requirements:
B.Sc. / M.Sc. / MBA in Computer science/ Information technology from any recognised university. PMP / Prince2 certification holders are preferred.
Experience Requirements:

7 - 8 years of proven experience in relevant track.
Additional Job Requirements:

Collaborate with other team leaders to assist them for managing their projects.
Strategic in approach that align with organisational mission, vision and goals: comprehends and addresses inter-enslavement and real issues.
Ability to monitor, control and manage troubled teams/projects and bring them to success.
Coordinate with the external project management team lead working for BRAC.
