Job Description/Responsibilities:
You will offer communications support to a team of 2700+ BRAC staff who provide essential services in the Rohingya camps from health care, education and psychosocial counselling, to safe latrines, shelters and community gardens. You will move between the 34 camps in Ukhiya and Teknaf which we operate, to BRAC’s four offices in Cox’s Bazar town housing 15 sector/working group teams (including health, education, food distribution, communication for development, child protection, etc.), to sector-wide coordination meetings and consultations with key partners. You will ensure our visibility on the ground, support high-profile events, lead field visits, and provide information, certainty, and timely support to BRAC senior management, donor agencies, and Cox’s Bazar-based sector teams. This role will offer you on-the-job training and the opportunity to stretch past limits, acquire new skills and depth of knowledge, and build stamina. You will also have the opportunity to work with globally renowned humanitarian and development experts. Ultimately, your contributions will strengthen BRAC’s reputation among external stakeholders and enhance the sense of pride among our staff. Your work will increase external visibility of our programmes and positively influence mindsets to create change.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s from any government recognised University/ Institute, preferably in communications, journalism, humanitarian studies or development studies
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of working experience is required. Candidates having work experience in a humanitarian setting and understand the sectoral/ cluster approach will get preference.
Additional Job Requirements:

Sound knowledge on global issues related to humanitarian principles
Ability and personal resilience to work in a fast paced, dynamic and pressurised environment
Well-developed written and oral communications skills in English with high level experience in representation and negotiation
Demonstrated ability to work in a team and to develop networks and collaborations
Skills in operating MS word, Excel, Power point and different communications channels
Ability to build rapport and strong working relationships with stakeholders of all levels
