Programme Specialist, Knowledge Management & Documentation

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Keep abreast of all BI-wide developments in programmes, leadership, and management to prepare appropriate reports, briefing and background notes, and other documentation as required for use by the ED and his/her team
Liaise closely with all COs, regions, and units in order to gather and collate accurate data on programme, finance, and management. Triangulating those as needed.
Consolidate and analyse data on programme implementation and indicators in order to facilitate the preparation of periodic reports
Work closely with MIS/M&E, finance and accounts, and programme anchors, where applicable, to ensure accurate and effective data presentation
Prepare and distribute the minutes of coordination meetings
Draft and/or check reports, including Board reports.
Draft narrative and reports on contributions, in compliance with specific target audience requirements, for example for donors, counterparts, UN, which will be used by the ED for his/her meetings as well as fundraising efforts
Review progress reports submitted by country offices, compile those into a BRAC-wide report, and provide feedback to improve the quality and timeliness of reporting
Prepare strategic briefs/presentations/notes for different external engagement of the ED, including donor/partner meetings, conferences in coordination with the communications and advocacy teams
Communicate possible gaps in the alignment of strategic organizational documents (e.g. logframes, annual operating plans, and donor requirements)
Assist in managing special projects, which are led by the ED’s team
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.



Educational Requirements: Master’s degree in International Relations/ Social Sciences or any relevant subject from an accredited university Or at least a Bachelor’s degree from a highly regarded institution with very good marks.


Experience Requirement:
Minimum 2 years job experience in a relevant field
Having internship experience in relevant field, research or professional assignments are advantageous

Additional Requirements:
Excellent and proven command of written English and highly developed drafting and editing skills
Excellent English communication skills
Excellent communication abilities with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint essential)
Attention to detail, organisational skills, and a sense of urgency
Conversational Bangla language skills
