Deputy Manager, Fundraising


Job Description/Responsibilities:

Lead SDP’s project proposal and innovate project design development processes including conceptualizing, designing, writing and editing funding proposals
Support programme manager to lead various conversations with potential partners for traditional and alternative fundraising and partnerships
Ensure tracking of possible fundraising streams from governmental and major institutional partners
Ensure existing donors and partners are sufficiently informed to maintain/strengthen relationships and partners receive regular programme updates/ news (letters)
Ensue taking part in internal and external events to network with potential partners and donors, represent BRAC and SDP at various internal and external fora, meetings and workshops and ensure regular conversation with existing partners and BRAC programmes
Identifying opportunities for improved collaboration and system improvement supporting better project development, proposal development, and grants management. This includes self-reflection, soliciting feedback on SDP, and conducting after action reviews
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

Requirements

Educational Requirements: Master's in Economics/ Development Economics/ Development Studies/ International Relations/ Public Administration/ Sociology/ Management/ International Development or any other related subject from any recognised university

Experience Requirement: Minimum 03 years’ experience in the relevant field is required. Candidates having experience in proposal development, research and knowledge management will get preference


Additional Requirements:
Basic knowledge on developing log frame, results framework, risk assessment and stakeholder analysis for programme design
Ability to work across cultural and gender diversity, persons with disabilities
Ability to learn new technologies easily (e.g. slack, google drive, trello, etc.)
Inquisitive, adaptive, ability to multitask and work under pressure
Client oriented and excellent skills in negotiation
Proficient in written and oral communication skills both in Bangla and English
Strong analytical ability with able to handle critical situation
Excellent ICT skills including MS Office (particularly Word and Excel, Power Point)
