Team Leader, Jawtno; Health Nutrition and Population Programme (Contractual)


Job Description/Responsibilities:

Provide technical insight and direction for Jawtno project implementation and coordination with Local Government Division, World Bank and other stakeholders.
Develop plans and implementation strategies to facilitate service delivery system in the working area.
Provide supervision and facilitate field activities with the help of Manager, Field Operation for achieving programme targets.
Provide quality leadership, mentoring and ensure field supervision, programmatic monitoring, knowledge management for better implementation and impact.
Prepare/ revise project budgets and financial tracking of expenditure.
Disseminate project findings, lesson learns and best practices in national and field level meetings, seminars, conferences and workshops.
Analyze MIS and program data to provide various reports and take decision for the improvement of the project.
Ensure quality assurance of programme activities and approaches
Provide support in developing Behavior Change Communication (BCC) materials.
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Requirements

Educational Requirements: Masters/ MBBSM in Nutrition/ Public Health/ Social Science from any recognised university with all 2nd class.

Experience Requirement: Minimum 15 years of relevant experience is required where five years as Project Management/ Team Lead.


Additional Requirements:
Extensive knowledge on development work, especially nutrition related public health
Knowledge of donor regulations
Knowledge on financial management and budget
Project management and planning
Strong interpersonal, communications, organizational, team building, partnering and representational skills.
Fluency in written and spoken English and Bengali
Have competencies in analytical ability, strategic thinking, problem solving skills, networking, leadership, change management and adaptation to changes
