Innovation Ecosystem and Partnerships Manager , Social Innovation Lab (Contractual)

Social Innovation Lab (SIL) is a cross-disciplinary platform for our staff to learn about best practices in development, generate ideas, experiment, and share knowledge about scalable innovations with the global development community. SIL works as a knowledge and experimentation hub, and has been continuously supporting BRAC for stay ahead of the curve by capitalising on emerging opportunities and catalysing innovation throughout the organisation. ABOUT THE POSITION: We are looking for an experienced, creative individual with a passion for development to join the Innovation Ecosystem & Partnerships Unit within Social Innovation Lab. You’ll work with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to forge new opportunities for collaboration between our programmes and key stakeholders, improving existing programming or experimenting with new solutions with the potential to improve lives for the millions of people we seek to serve. You will be joining the team at an exciting time, as BRAC works to launch the second edition of bracX, BRAC’s internal incubation platform. This initiative has been designed to help employees think outside the box and build an idea they are passionate about, while supporting BRAC in furthering its mission. This position will primarily drive bracX forward, with freedom to rethink design and delivery of in-house social entrepreneurship support. You will also have the exciting opportunity to spearhead BRAC’s flagship annual event, the Frugal Innovation Forum (FIF). This is a platform for practitioners from the Global South to connect and explore low-cost innovations addressing the world’s toughest development challenges You will play a pivotal role in designing the Forum, curating sessions, engaging with speakers, and searching out innovations to showcase. Beyond bracX and FIF, you will act as the voice of BRAC in advocating for social impact innovation, representing the work of the organisation to stakeholders in Bangladesh and abroad. You will also have the ongoing opportunity to enhance the social impact of BRAC by driving strategic partnerships, building meaningful collaborations with key internal and external stakeholders. For this position: The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with the ability to think critically, work collaboratively, and adapt quickly in a flexible environment. S/he will also demonstrate a passion for testing new ideas, encouraging entrepreneurship and driving innovation. Job Description/ Responsibilities: ? Leading bracX, an internal employee intrapraneurship initiative, by managing full cycle from design and recruitment through to prototyping and investment pitch ? Managing Frugal Innovation Forum and driving post-forum partnership opportunities ? Managing development of key communications pieces and reports related to BRAC’s work through the Social Innovation Lab ? Identifying opportunities for knowledge sharing and dissemination of Social Innovation Lab learnings in public forums ? Driving strategic partnerships with key national and international stakeholders to enhance the impact of SIL and BRAC ? Building meaningful collaborations with BRAC USA, UK, reputed universities, research institutes, corporates, start-ups and relevant international platforms to increase SIL’s visibility and highlight BRAC’s contribution to the development. ? Maintaining liaison between BRAC programmes and external partners ? Enhancing SIL’s overall strategic positioning within the organisation ? Driving initiatives to build and improve internal innovation ecosystem at BRAC ? Representing BRAC in external national and international platforms ? Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment. ? Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action. ? Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Requirements

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any recognised university.

Experience Requirement: ? 2-3 years of experience in local or international corporate or development sector, preferably in knowledge management, partnership development, and communications. ? Qualification in and/or significant experience in innovation related field is highly desired. ? Understanding of startup ecosystem and industry knowledge is preferred.
