Position
Assistant General Manager, Financial Planning and Accounts, Finance and Accounts
Job Description/Responsibilities:
Review, modify and ensure that financial projections are accurate, realistic and cost effective and aligned with BRAC Strategy and overall goals.
Give recommendation to Management regarding financial actions by assessing options in relation to organisational/departmental goals.
Define financial situation by completing quantitative analysis of programme support Enterprises and Microfinance by giving recommendation to place for Management’s action.
Improve general financial management and reporting procedures.
Develop capacity on financial management, transparency, accountability and knowledge sharing.
Assist to forecast and develop budgets, financial and business plans for supporting Enterprises and Microfinance Programme.
Develop staff capacity through field visit, meeting, discussion, individual contact and on the job training.
Develop budget linked with plans and monitoring mechanism.
Assist in preparing project proposals, periodical reports, write up on different aspects of the programme when necessary.
Follow up & address issues identified in BRAC financial reports and audit observations.
Develop capacity on financial management, transparency, accountability & knowledge sharing.
Prepare & maintain monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual financial progress reports as required.
Respond to inquiries from the Director Finance, Head of Financial Planning & Management, Programme Directors and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results & special reporting requests.
Enable the team towards achieving high standard of work performance and quality output delivery.
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Requirements
Educational Requirements:
Masters/MBA in Accounting/Finance or Completed ACCA from any reputed institution
Experience Requirement:
At least 8 years in relevant field is required. Experience in the following area (s): Accounts / Finance / Budget / Audit / Tax / VAT is required
Additional Requirements:
Knowledge on Accounting, Finance, Audit, Budget, Tax / VAT
Should be sincere, polite, dynamic, hard working and willing to work under pressure
Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
Should have strong communication skills in both Bengali and English
Knowledge on computer proficient and should be able to thrive in a fast -pace setting
