Position

Senior Manager, Accounts and Investment, Finance and Accounts


Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial statements of investment portfolio and prepare portfolio report for management and Investment Committees
  • Coordination between BRAC and various investees in regard to financing/ investment
  • Prepare monthly/ quarterly/ yearly accounts for development programme and ensure an accurate and timely reporting
  • Ensure to prepare fund requisition to donor along with necessary supporting documents and release fund from donor
  • Meeting with programme personnel to solve various finance and accounting related tasks
  • Analyse expense burn rate and budget variance of projects accounts of various development project
  • Create project chart of accounts following the master chart of accounts
  • Coordinate with different section of finance and accounts team to accumulate documentation on investment undertakings
  • Follow up for the required financial and legal documents needed for BRAC as per agreement
  • Prepare materials for different management meeting for example Finance and Audit Committee, Management Investment Committee, Social Enterprise Development Committee, Risk Management Committee etc.
  • Develop staff capacity through field visit, meeting, discussion, individual contact and on the job training
  • Follow up and address issues identified in BRAC financial reports and audit observations
  • Respond to inquiries from finance management, programme directors and firm wide managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

Requirements

Educational Requirements:

MBA in Accounting/ Finance/ Management from any recognised university with all 2nd class

Experience Requirement:

At least 5 years’ experience in relevant field of Accounts / Finance / Budget / Audit / Tax / VAT is required


Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge on Accounting, Finance, Audit, Budget, Tax / VAT
  • Should be sincere, polite, dynamic, hardworking and willing to work under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
  • Should have strong communication skills in both Bengali and English
  • Knowledge on computer proficient and should be able to thrive in a fast -pace setting
