Senior Manager, Partnerships Management, Project Development and Fund Raising; HNPP

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Develop fundraising strategies for successful engagement with donors and corporate sector
  • Provide strong, in-depth support to the proposal development process, including designing the technical and financial aspects, proposal preparing, timely submitting, as well as strategic pre-positioning and post-submission negotiations
  • Build functional rapport with existing and potential donors, funding organizations, corporate houses to explore new avenues of collaboration and strengthen existing partnerships with donors and bi-lateral organizations
  • Liaise with BRAC PRL and BRAC affiliates in USA, UK and the Netherlands and with BRAC International. Work collaboratively with BRAC fundraising focal persons across the organization to manage existing tools and develop others to ensure high quality business development practices
  • Create and maintain database of donors’ agencies, donor organizations and corporate houses along with their interest areas for potential funding opportunities
  • Identify fund raising opportunities such as announced call for proposals (CFP/RFP), request for submission of EOIs, etc. from different bilateral and multilateral donors and other funding organizations
  • Respond to identified fund raising opportunities within due time
  • Ensure grant management processes are in place enabling timely reporting, responding to donor queries, representing HNPP at donor meetings and serving as a gate-keeper on the quality of grant management
  • Leverage use of technology and social media where possible to initiate and improve fundraising activities as required within and outside the organization
  • Lead all Knowledge Management, Communication and Partnership Management activities and represent HNPP in relevant forums at local and global level
  • Deal with relevant research related stakeholders and external researchers as study/research point person
  • Work collaboratively with BRAC fundraising focal persons across the organization to manage existing tools and develop others to ensure high quality business development practices
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so



Educational Requirements:

Master from any recognised university with all 2nd class


Experience Requirement:

Minimum 7 years’ of working experiences with strong skills and capacity in project/ programme planning and management, donor liaison and fund raising from diversified donors

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge on project management processes and grant management techniques
  • Understanding of donor mapping and changing donor fund interest
  • Have knowledge on development theories in general and practices by NGOs and other development agencies especially on safeguarding, VAWC, empowerment, local governance and environment issues
  • Knowledge of contemporary donors and their funding interests
  • Project planning and implementation including skills of budget preparation
  • Knowledge on management leadership in general and capacity building issues
  • Knowledge management in theory and practice
  • Understanding of corporate communications practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both in Bangla and English
  • Have leadership, analytical, multitasking and time management and facilitation skills
  • Have presentation and report writing skills
  • Have competencies on adaptability, team work, relationship building and change management
