Senior Manager, Project Implementation; Migration Programme (Contractual)

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the project plans and schedules are being followed accordingly; develop solutions to project challenges and direct others for successful completion of project on time and within budget.
  • Oversee project activities and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist project teams and other stakeholders to define, communicate and drive the strategic vision and goal of the project.
  • Ensure that project activities comply with the policies and regulations of BRAC and the donors.
  • Responsible for overseeing the development and execution of project deliverables, lead project planning, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processes.
  • Advice on ‘best practice’ approach to all aspects of programme and project management which is practical and result focused.
  • Ensure close collaboration and coordination with cooperating partners/BRAC departments/GoB/ ministries to guarantee smooth implementation of Safe Migration and reintegration activities and achievement of results as specified in grant agreements. 
  • Ensure project plans, specifications, roles and responsibilities and the necessary communications are defined and completed according to standard within the programme framework.
  • Responsible for submitting activity reports, meeting minutes and financial reports on regular basis to BRAC and donor.
  • Work closely with team members to provide training on strategic initiatives, project operation, problem solving, prioritization of work and improving quality thereby.  
  • Troubleshoot project problems, launch initiatives to reduce operational costs and defects, identify and implement creative solutions.
  • Develop and evaluate the tools and techniques used by the project to manage the project.
  • Collaborate with other managers for the successful execution of the project and mentor team members by sharing tips and techniques.
  • Facilitate project team and others to identify project requirements and ensure that they align with programme objectives.
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.



Educational Requirements:

Masters in Social Science/Business Studies or any relevant subject(s) from any recognised university with minimum 2nd division/class or equivalent GPA/CGPA in all academic examinations.


Experience Requirement:

Minimum 5 years’ of work experience in the development field including project management skill is required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Firm knowledge on project cycle management, project implementation, monitoring and evaluation
  • Conceptual understanding of development and migration issues
  • Excellent project proposal writing, report writing and budgeting skills
  • Skills on problem solving, planning, decision-making and creativity
  • Excellent competencies on leadership, coordination and communication
