Position

District Coordinator; Migration Programme (Contractual)


Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Field Organisers’ work in project under respective Reintegration Service Center and provide continuous guidance to the team for ensuring quality programme implementation/field operations.
  • Undertake regular field visit and facilitate field activities for ensuring better outcome of the project.
  • Select volunteer and undertake necessary tasks for their capacity building and provide guidance to implement activities, develop and maintain volunteer database.
  • Organise training, meeting and workshop at local level.
  • Communicate regularly and develop good relation with the local level stakeholders (GO and NGOs) for ensuring field level activity, advocacy and networking.
  • Coordinate and make follow-up of returnee profiling, develop and maintain online database.
  • Liaise with local level industries/institutes and projects for managing job placement for the returnees.
  • Identify best practices/collect case stories, document and prepare periodical activity report/ MIS etc.
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Requirements

Educational Requirements:

Masters in Social Science/Social Work/Sociology/Political Science/Public Administration or relevant discipline from any recognised university with minimum 2nd division/class or equivalent GPA/CGPA in all academic examinations.

Experience Requirement:

Minimum 02 years of relevant work experience in development activities at field level. Previous experience of working with migrants will be considered as an advantage.


Additional Requirements:

  • Firm knowledge on migration, labor trafficking & returnee and re-integration issues
  • Understanding on project implementation, field implementation, community mobilisation, activities facilitation and management, finance and accounts and field operation etc.
  • Strong monitoring and reporting skills
  • Good communication and documentation skills
