Project Coordinator, Communications, HBCC, Social Innovation Lab (SIL)

Job Description/Responsibilities:

We are looking for a highly organized, driven, and dedicated individual with a passion for development to join the Social Innovation Lab and drive forward our work as part of the Hygiene & Behaviour Change Coalition. 

Through the Hygiene and Behavior Change Coalition, BRAC is aiming over the next 12 months to enable communities across Bangladesh to build long-term hygiene practices, mitigate the impact of COVID-19, and protect against future outbreaks and diseases. We aim to reach 10 million people directly in our communities via our interventions, by focusing primarily on mass awareness and information dissemination to targeted vulnerable populations, in-person communications and hygiene demonstration, and the installation of handwashing stations in heavily frequented locations. A key component of this project will focus on incorporating a behavioural lens into designing, deploying and evaluating our interventions to generate knowledge on the effectiveness of campaigns and gather evidence of what works to combat crisis situations in the future. 

You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of Hygiene & Behaviour Change Coalition project and its implementation. You will assist the project manager with facilitating the project activities by working with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and communicating the ongoing insights and impact of the project. 

As project coordinator, you will help project execution by managing logistics, compiling reports, coordinating meetings, resources, equipment and information.

For this position: The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with the ability to think critically, work collaboratively, and adapt quickly in a flexible environment. S/he will also demonstrate a passion for development initiatives in conjunction with strategic planning processes. They must have the ability to exercise good judgment, to demonstrate proficient project management skills related to development activities and behaviour change communications, and to use discretion in interactions with team members. 


  • Enhance public understanding of the project outcome through the dissemination of blogs, op eds, infographic representations and reports
  • Maintaining regular communication with project stakeholders. 
  • Identifying new opportunities for cross-programme collaboration. 
  • Supporting partnerships to amplify impact of the project. 
  • Preparing quarterly reports to the donor. 
  • Organizing meetings, training, and field visits. 
  • Bringing together essential reports, blogs, update emails and presentations that can be shared with senior leadership and/or external audiences. 
  • Documenting lessons learned, challenges, field visits, meeting notes.  Maintaining and disseminating knowledge management related materials, as appropriate. 
  • Writing blogs and preparing audio-visuals to capture learnings from HBCC. 
  • Support the creation of communications collateral to ensure that it is consistent with BRAC and the HBCC project
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.



Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree any discipline from any recognised university. 


Experience Requirement:

  • 1-3 years of experience in local or international corporate or development sector, preferably in knowledge management, partnership development and communications. 
  • Understanding of hygiene and behaviour change communication preferred.
