Position

Officer, Financial Literacy; Urban Development Programme (Contractual)


Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Promotion of the activities of Financial Protection (DPS + Insurance) model among the RMG worker and create demand generation of the services
  • Facilitate to pay the DPS + Insurance’s installment and RMG workers salary payment by using bkash
  • Prepare/ support to prepare orientation guideline and BCC materials on financial literacy. Support to prepare plan for financial sustainability of the centre. 
  • Conduct orientation on financial literacy, risk assessment and feasibility of Financial Protection (DPS + health Insurance) model of Guardian.
  • Coordination/ collaboration with govt./ private clinic/ hospitals, insurance providers, pharmaceuticals or health care companies as well as BRAC’s micro health insurance.
  • Record keeping and maintain registers of all information related to client as well as service and ensure monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly report as per project need.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and six monthly services targets of the centre and prepare the cost estimation/ budget
  • Fill up the financial as well as quantitative target of the centre as on Annual Operation Plan
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Requirements

Educational Requirements:

Masters in any discipline from any recognised university/ institutions with minimum second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations

Experience Requirement:

Minimum 2 years’ of work experience in national or international development organisation or programme is required


Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent relationship building skills/ working cross-functionally to ensure alignment on all activities, able to influence effectively
  • Sound knowledge of financial management
  • Have sound knowledge and understanding of communication, strategy, decision making and problem solving and documentation
  • Knowledge of operational management of projects/ programmes
