Position

Manager, Advocacy, Partnership and Learning, Urban Development Programme

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Develop ‘IsDB-Health’ project’s Advocacy strategy and plan for advocacy and referral system development.
Advocacy with Civil surgeon, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer, community clinic, NGO health clinic, physicians, nurses, and other hospital professional staff to establish standards for running a medical/health facility and ensure strategic support for smooth implementation of UDP interventions.
Work with the M&E team to develop advocacy indicators and monitoring tools to monitor and evaluate advocacy and referral system.
Dialogue/roundtable discussion at Town level, national level for health system development and strengthening. Maintain close communication and network with relevant stakeholders at local, national and international levels.
Check, verify and update all financial and administrative recording and proceedings at head office level including updating all files and registers; checking the bill/voucher; account checks for miscoding; audit compliance etc.
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Any other task as and when required by the management.

Requirements

Educational Requirements:

Master’s in any disciplines or any other relevant discipline from any recognised University with minimum second class in all exams/CGPA 2.5 and above or equivalent.

Experience Requirement:

Minimum experience of 6 years with NGOs, UN agency or international development organisation and out of 6 years at least 3 years’ experience in Advocacy position will give preference.

Additional Requirements:

Current national and global development trends related to women empowerment, , gender and justice, legal aid, rights based approach, access to information; SDGs.

Sound knowledge and understanding Project cycle management, results based management and rights based approach.
Skills of Leadership and people management, Strategic thinking, Decision making and problem solving, Communication and documentation.
Excellent analytical skills.
