Technical Manager, Health, Urban Development Programme (Contractual)

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with ministry of health, DGH, Civil surgeon, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer,  physicians, nurses, and other hospital professional staff to establish standards for running a medical/ health facility and ensure strategic support for smooth implementation of UDP interventions
  • Oversee implementation of proposed social BUH&DCs and BOC in targeted location. Maintain the govt health regulations procedure like liscenching procedure, approval from drag administration etc.
  • Assist in the development of the implementation plan on a case by case basis in coordination with UDP and field management teams
  • Oversee the integration of SMART technology at multiple levels of field operations
  • Ensure Technical collaboration approach undertaken between field office and head office
  • Oversee the supply chain management and stock management of health services issue, Prepare the specification of health services products and machinery
  • Consult with medical services business providers and community groups to discuss service problems, respond to community needs, enhance public relations, coordinate activities and plans, and promote health services programs
  • Develop or expand and implement clinical health services that promote research, rehabilitation, and community health
  • Monitor the use of diagnostic services, inpatient beds, facilities, and staff to ensure effective use of resources
  • Maintain awareness of advances in medicine or latest technology computerized diagnostic and treatment equipment, data processing technology, government regulations
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.



Educational Requirements:

MBBS from any recognised university with all second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations


Experience Requirement:

at least 6 years of experience with NGOs, UN agency or international development organization and out of 6 years at least 3 years’ experience in the Health project or programme  or Health Care services sector is mandatory

Additional Requirements:

  • Have substantial experience in operations management of large scale, complex programmes/ projects.
  • Have experience of working in urban development interventions
  • Have knowledge on Current national and global development trends related to urban health services and health services sector, heath services delivery mechanism, women empowerment, community organizing and social mobilization, rights based approach, gender, good governance, access to information, SDGs
  • Have knowledge on Project cycle management and Results based management
  • Have skills in Leadership and people management, Strategic thinking, Decision making and problem solving, Communication and documentation and Operational management of projects/ programmes
  • Must have creativity, result oriented, integrity, flexibility, decisiveness, adaptability, teamwork and self-motivated, Ability to plan and manage work independently; Commitment to learning, developing skills and sharing knowledge and information
