Position

Senior Manager, Compliance Services, Internal Audit


Job Description/Responsibilities:

Operational and reporting activities

  • Assist Head of Internal Audit in development and implementation of Compliance services within BRAC and annual plan for BRAC.
  • Provide advice to Head of Internal Audit on proposed developments such as major new systems and proposed initiatives to help ensure compliance issues are properly identified and evaluated and set appropriate questions.
  • Assist to Supervisor for developing of Compliance Questionnaire (self-Compliance, Donor Compliance and Regulatory Compliance) as per Annual Plan and Compilation of Questionnaires received from Field Offices and preparation of Compliance Reports of ICQ on Quarterly basis. 
  • Supervise team in preparation of Internal control questionnaire(ICQ), Donor and update of Regulatory Compliance Questionnaire after having through knowledge on different programmes updated changes/MoU/Laws and Regulation either through meeting or reviewing of related laws, MoU, policies and circular
  • Comparing observation of different period to develop internal control questionnaire accordingly
  • Analyze feedback on internal control questionnaire and Donor Compliance Questionnaire to recommend to the relevant management for initiating right action.
  • Review the Compliance Reports and Audit Compliance Report along with proper documentation and updating Compliance Checklists, permanent files, planning files.
  • Lead audit team during critical audit assignments in field and head office level and report audit observations in constructive / business perspective manner.
  • Drive the risk assessments in line with risk management framework to identify the critical business / programme areas in field level.
  • Co-ordination with programme management and other stakeholders; Attended co-ordination and other meetings nominated by supervisor for ensuring qualitative Compliance Report and meet Management expectations.
  • Ensure quality of audit reports and meet management expectation through meeting, discussion with management along with proper documentation.
  • Ensuring preservation of sufficient and appropriate documentation against audit findings.
  • Assist in preparation and submission of executive summary of internal audit observations by scrutinizing monthly audit reports of BRAC Microfinance, Development Programmes and BRAC Enterprises

Communication and team building

  • Communicate with different zone, division and section within the department for successfully implementation of annual audit plan;
  • Maintain co-ordination with Programmes and other department for audit related matters and regarding update of circular during the year.
  • Exchange views and satisfy queries of junior audit staffs and supervisor for smooth operation of IAD

Safeguarding

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Requirements

Educational Requirements:

  • M.Com/MBA in Finance/ Accounting/ Business Studies from any recognized university with minimum all second class / division or equivalent GPA / CGPA in academic examinations. No 3rd division / class or below CGPA 2.50 is acceptable.
  • Chartered Accountant (ACA)/ Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA)
