Requirements
Educational Requirements:
Master’s in Disaster Management/ Development Studies/ Social Science or similar discipline from recognised University/ Institution with all second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations
Experience Requirement:
Minimum 10 years working experiences in humanitarian response, disaster management and/ or development sector with govt. agencies and/ or I/NGOs including 3 years experiences in managing emergency programmes or humanitarian crises
Additional Requirements:
- Conversant with the national and international humanitarian architecture, particularly coordination (including cluster approach), networking, strategic collaboration/partnership and funding
- Sound knowledge of global, regional and national disaster management framework of Bangladesh and all other humanitarian framework and standards
- Proven experience in preparing budgets, procurement of materials and monitoring of activities
- Excellent skills in report writing (e.i. financial report, progress report etc.)
- Capable for planning and prioritizing under any stress situation
- Excellent skills in team building, problem solving and decision making
- Demonstrated coordination skill and ability to implement programme in a challenging work environment
- Excellent communication, coordination and networking skill
- Familiar with MS Office, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
