Senior Officer, Investigation- Sexual Harassment Redressal Committee (SHRC)

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Study the assigned complaint letter thoroughly and prepare inquiry plan, checklist, and questionnaire.
  • Prepare a probable list of interviewees.
  • Inform to the alleged accused person and concern informant with inquiry.
  • Visit place of occurrence and complete inquiry.
  • Interview of related person maintaining confidentiality and keep written record.
  • Fact analysis, cross checking & corroborating evidences and assess credibility.
  • Prepare charge/show cause for giving opportunity of hearing to the so called accused.
  • Submit final report to the Manager, Inquiry Unit.
  • Attend monthly forum and ombudsperson hearing if require.
  • Conduct the inquiry independently.
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.




Educational Requirements:

Masters in Law/Criminology/Journalism/Social Science from any recognized UGC approved university with minimum all 2nd division/class or equivalent GPA/ CGPA. Third division/class or CGPA below 2.00 is not acceptable.


Experience Requirement:

Minimum 01 year of experience in fact finding/investigation/human rights will be given preference.

Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent presentation skill.
  • Report writing skills both in Bangla and English
  • Bangla and English typing ability  
  • Able to frequent field visit (at least 15 days in a month)
