The person in this role will provide knowledge management, documentation and reporting support to Flood Recovery project of BRAC Humanitarian Programme. He/she will be responsible for ensuring the capturing and promotion of learnings and creating comprehensive knowledge management, documentation and reporting on the flood recovery project.



Senior Manager, KM, Documentation and Reporting (Contractual), BRAC Humanitarian Programme

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance of activities with the project’s knowledge management and communication by following BRAC’s communication guidelines.
  • Identify the knowledge management and communication needs of the project and develop appropriate tools.
  • Conduct research on project’s interventions and achievements, and develop state of art documents, publications or other forms of knowledge and communication materials such as reports, learning briefs, updates, newsletters, press releases, factsheets, presentations, videos, posters, and social media contents.
  • Undertake sporadic field visits to observe project implementation, liaise closely with target groups and develop impact stories for public dissemination.
  • Assist in conducting lessons learned workshop, events, information dissemination workshops etc.
  • Take lead in dissemination of knowledge and communication materials to donors, relevant stakeholders providing a steady flow of news and stories for website/publications, keeping partners aware of the project’s work.
  • Provide relevant inputs and information to keep the humanitarian programme’s website and other information portals up-to-date.
  • Coordinate communication activities and events such as workshops, trainings of the project, support documentation and develop proceedings, minutes and reports.
  • Maintain documentation management system and ensure project’s publications are collected, registered, and shared through online and social media networks.
  • Develop periodic project report (fortnightly and monthly) based on the updates from project implementation and disseminate with project staff’s, and other concerned in BRAC.
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.



Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/ Journalism/ Disaster Management/ Development Studies/ English/ Social Science. Candidates completed O-level and A-level are preferred.


Experience Requirement:

  • Minimum 05 years professional experience in planning and executing knowledge management, documentation and reporting, preferably in humanitarian and/or development programmes. Experience of working with NGOs and INGOs would be an advantage.
