Position

Manager, Awareness Campaign; Migration Programme (Contractual)


Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Prepare plan and design for implementing awareness activities under the project at central level and field level as well.
  • Supervise all planned activities of 05 Reintegration Service Centers and provide guidance to project staffs for ensuring quality programme implementation/field operations.
  • Conduct field visit in regular basis for effective field operation and update the progress/significant changes (if any) to the management.
  • Develop IEC/BCC materials such as brochure, booklet, flipchart, leaflet, poster to distribute among participants involved in the awareness.
  • Work for resource mobilisation for migration programme and facilitate migration team and the projects to take part in the process, work with donor liaison office and other relevant forums of BRAC.
  • Develop fundraising strategy for Migration Programme and projects and continuously improve existing fundraising operations' effectiveness by developing existing and new fundraising products, initiatives, and events.
  • Develop concept note and project proposal independently and participate in the bidding process for fundraising as per needs.
  • Maintain liaison and network with relevant stakeholders i.e. Ministries, BMET, DEMO, Probashi Kollyan Bank and with like-minded organisations and assist team to arrange issue based event at national level and field level.
  • Advice on ‘best practice’ approach to all aspects of programme and project management which are practical and result focused.
  • Conduct required reporting and documentation and collaborate with other managers to execute programme effectively.
  • Work closely with team members to provide training on strategic initiatives, project operation, problem solving, prioritisation of work and improve quality.
  • Troubleshoot project problems, launch initiatives to reduce operational costs and defects; identify and implement creative solutions.
  • Provide support to the migration staff and partners in order to build their skills and capabilities to do local level advocacy and actions on migration to ascertain the migrants rights and protection
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Requirements

Educational Requirements:

Masters in any discipline from any recognised university with minimum 2nd division/class or equivalent GPA/CGPA in all academic examinations.

Experience Requirement:

Minimum 02 years of work experience in the relevant field is required. 


Additional Requirements:

  • Practical work experience in the development field; especially on awareness campaign and advocacy. 
  • Skills on programme operation, programme monitoring and staff supervision.
  • Excellent networking and liaison skill to develop and maintain relationship with partner and like-minded organisations and donors.
  • Expertise on IEC/BCC preparation, budget planning, cost controlling, periodical report writing/MIS, case story development and documentation.
  • Excellent competencies on information technology, multi-national project management, best practice identification and innovation.
  • Competencies on team leadership and cross-cultural communications.
