Position

Assistant Engineer, Maintenance, Maintenance Department


Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure schedule generator and electrical maintenance of BRAC field offices as per yearly maintenance schedule.
  • Carry out fault finding and diagnosis to a range of petrol generator sets.
  • Resolve electrical and mechanical engine problems.  
  • Replacing electrical and mechanical components.
  • Carry out basic engine servicing.
  • Carry out site testing.                 
  • Be a part of the on-call servicing.
  • Monitor staffing needs, evaluate performance, and address employee relation issues as warranted for staff.
  • Organize meeting with the maintenance staff to find out the blockage, remove them, consult with & inform the authority and to continue smooth progress of the work.
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Requirements

Educational Requirements:

BSc. /Diploma In Engineering in Electrical/Mechanical/Power Engineering from any recognized university/ institute with minimum all second class / division or equivalent GPA / CGPA in academic examinations. No 3rd division / class or below CGPA 2.50 is acceptable.

Minimum 04-05 years in relevant field (Specially small petrol generator maintenance and overhauling)
