Sector Specialist, CEP & GJD, Integrated Development Programme (IDP)

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee gender and community empowerment activities of IDP and provide technical support to the concerned implementers
  • Develop training module for gender sensitization and community empowerment
  • Prepare work plan both yearly & monthly to achieve the programmatic target
  • Follow up & monitoring the field level activities on regular basis and assistance for proper implementation
  • Arrange and facilitate capacity development sessions on gender and community empowerment issues among the staff, community and other relevant stakeholders
  • Lead to arrange events related to Gender and Community Empowerment & HRLS component
  • Liaison and proper coordination With GOB sector, others NGO sector and local govt.
  • Look after popular theatre group formation and performances
  • Ensure report submission in right time in the right place
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so



Educational Requirements:

  • Masters’ Degree in Social Science or relevant subjects from any recognized university


Experience Requirement:

  • At least 2 years’ working experience on gender issues, community mobilization, local government and social safety net
