Senior Officer, Gender, GRESP-CHT, Gender Justice and Diversity Programme

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Organise inception meeting and learning-sharing with students, teachers, parents, media and local administration on gender based awareness
  • Organise and facilitate round table discussions with SMC, teachers, community members, etc. on safeguarding, CM, GBV, sexual harassment, menstrual health and hygiene
  • Facilitate student, teacher, student watch group, community watch group workshop and training for different stakeholder as per program target
  • Sensitization through discussion with teachers and SMC on social inclusion and cohesion, creating enabling environment for teaching, good touch & bad touch
  • Prepare monthly plan as per plan, monthly qualitative and quantitative progress report within time to the concern authority and document properly.
  • Organise different training like Gender and leadership psychosocial counseling for SWG, CWG & teacher within Program period.
  • Follow up, Student watch group, community watch group, school, teacher and the initiative of different platform
  • Functioning community watch group for community mobilization against sexual harassment and VAWC
  • Regular field visit effectively to implement program
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so




Educational Requirements:

Masters from any recognised university with minimum second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA 2.50 in all academic examinations


Experience Requirement:

At least 2 years’ of field work experience on gender related issue

  • Basic understanding on Gender & women empowerment issues
  • Respect and obey to organisational culture and values
  • Good capacity and management skill of field work
  • Ability to work in multi-culture and interaction work environment, under pressure with utmost dedication and integrity
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Facilitated different training session, workshop and meeting
