Position

Manager, Knowledge Management and Documentation, Community Empowerment Programme (CEP)


Job Description/Responsibilities:

Knowledge management and documentation

  • Spearhead CEP's knowledge management units in documenting outcomes of activities, lessons learnt, best practices  
  • Collaborate with different component of CEP and provide technical support to improve programme/project’s process documentation, knowledge generation, lessons learned and identification of best practices
  • Take lead in the dissemination of knowledge and communication materials to donors and relevant stakeholders; maintain a steady flow of news and stories at website/publications, ensure strong visibility
  • Ensure project progress reports, project completion reports, case stories etc. are produced with quality and submitted according to the reporting schedules and guidance.
  • Maintain the documentation management system and ensure the project’s publications are collected, registered, and shared through online and social media networks
  • Disseminate the knowledge materials internally and externally by using modern tools and techniques, and following BRAC’s communication guidelines
  • Assist to develop concept note, proposal, situation report, action plan and presentations for relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate and contribute to the central knowledge management, advocacy, communication and innovation team of BRAC
  • Work closely with the communication manager in order to ensure quality publications and developing communication materials.
  • Undertake needful field visits to observe project implementation, liaise closely with target groups and develop impact stories for public dissemination

Research facilitation

  • Initiate, manage/coordinate and materialize the research demands of CEP, and provide technical support in developing ToR for different research initiatives
  • Plan and supervise survey implementation, tools development, quality assurance, data cleaning, data analysis, and other activities related to research and evaluation
  • Collaborate in managing the evidence base creation of new initiatives and pilot projects in order to use them for future scale up.

Partnership Management

  • Maintain effective partnership with different department of BRAC, especially with Communication, Advocacy, Technology and Social Innovation. Maintain working relationship with BRAC affiliate institutions such as BIGD, BUIED, JPGSPH, etc. for different research and partnership initiatives.
  • Maintain effective communication and build new partnership with global think tanks, right based organizations at both nationally and internationally  

Strategy and Innovation

  • Usher the innovation processes in line with CEP’s plans and priorities and in close coordination with component leads as well as SIL (elaborate pls) and under the supervision of Programme Head and Director.
  • Support in developing theory of change, logical framework, and bring innovation to the team to use ICT for better programming. Contribute to the development and review of programmes’ strategy, annual operating plan (AOP), and other priority strategies/plans.

Safeguarding

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the safeguarding goals while acting as a key source of support, guidance and expertise for establishing a safe working environment in accordance to its reporting procedures.
  • Practice, promote, encourage and endorse the safeguarding policy and implementation standards among team members in case of any reportable incident.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Requirements

Educational Requirements:

MA/MSS/MDS/MBA from any recognized UGC approved university with minimum all 2nd division/CGPA 3.00 in all academic results.
