Deputy Manager-Advocacy, Networking and M&E; Community Empowerment Programme (CEP)

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Advocacy and Networking

  • Prepare yearly advocacy and networking plan for RPK and implement accordingly.
  • Map existing networks and complementary/cross-sectoral initiatives to build a regional network of the community networks.
  • Work with key government officials at the national, regional and local levels who engage with community radio and media
  • Participate and represent in advocacy events/ trainings/ workshops for capacity building and networking
  • Work for RPK’s fund raising and sustainability.

M&E and Documentation

  • Prepare and maintain result – based monitoring framework for RPK programmes.
  • Maintain the liaison with the M&E team of CEP as well as with BRAC monitoring team for better coordination and collaboration with broader programmatic objectives of CEP and organizational priorities of BRAC.
  • Manage the documentation of RPK’s activities, best practices, lesson learned and knowledge products in close collaboration with documentation and knowledge management manager of the CEP.
  • Provide technical support to develop IEC/BCC materials for effective mass campaign and capacity building in line with community radio activities.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Yearly regular communication plan of RPK (Govt. and other organization such as AMARC Asia- Pacific, UNESCO, UNICEF, BCRA, other CR station, John Hopkins, Save the Children, BNNRC etc.)
  • Identify and develop collaborative relationship with key stakeholders in government, civil society and at the community level, who are working for, or supportive to community radio.
  • Design different off air activities (Campaign, Workshop, Stakeholder’s Meeting, event etc.) for RPK programme
  • Maintain liaison and communication internally with BRAC’s other programmes and externally with other organization to promote RPK.


  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.






Educational Requirements:

Masters from any recognized UGC approved university with minimum all 2nd division/class or equivalent GPA/ CGPA. Third division/class or CGPA below 2.00 is not acceptable.



Experience Requirement:

At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in communication and media, advocacy, networking and monitoring or any other relevant field.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong experience in strategic planning and policy formulation and experience in networking, communication and media work (Electronic& Print).
  • Extensive experience of campaign and policy advocacy; and effective use of media and digital platforms for awareness raising and policy changes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skill and ability to successfully manage complex and sensitive organizational relationships to achieve cross-organizational, collectively agreed goals.
  • Strong linkage and networking with forums/influential actors.
