Programme Coordinator, Social Compliance

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Assist HRLS and Social Compliance Director in strategic decisions and corresponding analysis as and when needed
  • Work with staff members, budgets and procedures to ensure the implementation and success of programs.
  • Ensure implementation of activities
  • Work with BRAC’s Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) Program in assessing environmental impacts in the RMG and footwear industry through using HIGG facility labor and social module
  • Work with BRAC’s project in gathering factories for training and assessment and ensuring service quality
  • Provide guidance and jointly work in fundraising activities including assisting in developing concept notes and funding proposals
  • Maintain liaison with other BRAC programs for the purposes of continued development
  • Develop new programs to support the strategic direction of the organisation
  • Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved
  • Prepare program overviews, quarterly and annual reports and guide on any communications materials
  • Develop an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement
  • Manage a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities
  • Operationalise all training programmes
  • Prepare training materials as per requirement
  • Assist in marketing products to various MNC’s and Donors
  • Do whatever tasks that are assigned
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, sexual exploitation and respect everyone to comply with BRAC safeguarding policy.



Educational Requirements:

Masters/ MBA from any recognised university with minimum 2nd division/ class or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations.

Candidate having OSH certification will get preference.


Experience Requirement:

Minimum 10 years of experience in NGO sector and relevant professional experience in training as well as 5 years in managerial position is required.

Working experience in BRAND, compliance audit firm, trade organisation, RMG and relevant certification will get preference

Additional Requirements:

  • Have excellent understanding on socio-economic context of the country
  • Have excellent understanding of issues related to national skills development and TVET sector, training for employment and employability within the country and abroad.
  • Excellent ICT skills including MS Office (particularly Word and Excel, Power Point) Presentation
  • Excellent skills in written and verbal communication in both English and Bangla
  • Excellent skills in organising, monitoring and site management
  • Excellent skills in report writing and documentation
  • Necessary expertise in RMG Sector
