Position

Deputy Manager, Accounts; Finance and Accounts


Job Description/Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare monthly/ annual draft accounts of the assigned projects and take necessary modification where required
  • Receive field accounts of assigned project
  • Prepare donor financial report and issue fund request letter to donor
  • Prepare project fixed asset schedule and charge fixed asset depreciation
  • Reconcile receivable and payables of the project
  • Prepare accounts for NGOAB (FD4) audit
  • Check assigned projects current account breakup, provident fund statement, Income tax statement, motorcycle loan realization statement, staff loan statement, salary statement of overseas staff, cash certificate, bank statement, daily cash and bank statement, bank reconciliation statement, health insurance payment document etc.
  • Check computer journal voucher with area offices, current account breakup with detail accounts and make necessary correction
  • Prepare journal voucher and transaction in the ERP
  • Update Head Office current accounts reconciliation with field office
  • Assist internal, external and other audit of the assigned projects
  • Meeting with program personnel to solve various finance and accounting related problems of the assigned projects
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

Requirements

Educational Requirements:

MBA in Accounting/ Finance/ Management from any recognised university with minimum 2nd division/ class or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations

Experience Requirement:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant field of Accounts / Finance / Budget / Audit / Tax / VAT is required


Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge on accounting, finance, audit, budget, Tax / VAT
  • Have to be sincere, polite, dynamic, hardworking and willing to work under pressure
  • Have good communication skills in both bengali and english
  • Have sound knowledge on computer literacy
