Senior Officer, Aquaculture, Health Nutrition and Population Programme (Contractual)

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Assist District Manager in preparing the training plan and other targeted activities.
Provide support in the process of identification and capacity development of LSPs in the local level.
Provide support in the process of farmers group formation and their capacity development.
Ensure quality services provided by LSPs to the farmers’ group.
Ensure that all the activities regarding fish production, material acquisition etc. are accomplished timely and appropriately among the fish farmers to maintain the desired quality and quantity.
Provide technical support to incorporate fish based messages in the nutrition-specific BCC materials.
Maintain and update all production registers and other documents as per official requirements.
Assist District manager with preparation of official reports and other administrative functions.
Perform any other duties promptly as and when assigned by the respective authority.
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.



Educational Requirements: M.Sc from Fisheries with all 2nd division/ class from any recognised university


Experience Requirement: Minimum 2 years of experience in aquaculture extension with any NGO/Donor funded Project is required

Additional Requirements:
Have comprehensive knowledge in production and Production process and planning
Need to have excellent communication skills
Have skills on MS Office
