Deputy Manager, Knowledge Management and Documentation; Climate Change Programme

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Assist management in developing an efficient knowledge management system suitable for the programme
Develop methodological documentation from previous project experience, lessons learnt and best practices
Produce reports by collecting monthly, quarterly, annual statistics and narrative information about activities / services of the programme, within agreed time limit
To write 'Case Stories/ History' and prepare publicity materials and reports for stakeholders from different sectors
Follow-up and support upgradation and implementation of MIS database; regularly update and maintain programme information, project database and records
Handle FD-6, FC-1, FC-2 and relevant documents as per NGO bureau requirement to get project approval
Assist programme personnel in utilizing the knowledge management system; suggest best practices by projects of the programme
Support grant making initiatives through idea generation and innovative project strategies
Represent climate change programme in different forums
Establish a safeguarding culture across all level of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
Any other assignment as deem appropriate to the Climate Change Programme



Educational Requirements: Bachelors in Social Science/ Humanities/ Development Studies/ Disaster Management/ Climate Change/ International Relations or any other relevant subject from any recognised university with minimum 2nd division/ class or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations


Experience Requirement: Minimum 2 years of work experience, preferably in climate change

Additional Requirements:
Knowledge on communication, publication and especially on climate change science, mitigation and adaptation
Knowledge on the global, regional and national policies on climate change actions
Should have excellent presentation skill
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.)
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustration
Adequate skill in MIS, SPSS and other data management applications
Should be dynamic and willing to work under pressure
Should have excellent English speaking and writing skill
Should have excellent Bangla typing skill
