Job Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic thinker to join our team as a key driver of financial performance. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive cost analyses, design competitive pricing strategies, and work closely with the Finance Head to optimize revenue streams. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial viability and profitability of our tourism offerings, contributing to data-informed decisions and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analyses of all tour-related costs, including transportation, accommodation, meals, guide services, entry fees, and other associated expenses.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive cost models for various tour packages, taking into account seasonality, group size, and local market conditions.
  • Evaluate and compare expenses across different tour options to identify opportunities for cost optimization and improved operational efficiency.
  • Perform market research to assess competitive pricing and understand target market segments within the tourism industry.
  • Design and implement pricing strategies that are competitive, profitable, and aligned with customer expectations and market demands.
  • Monitor and analyze pricing trends and data to identify opportunities for strategic price adjustments and revenue growth.
  • Generate regular financial reports detailing tour profitability, including revenue, cost of goods sold, gross profit margins, and other key performance indicators.
  • Examine financial data to identify patterns, assess the outcomes of pricing strategies, and derive actionable insights for business enhancement.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Head to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with relevant accounting standards.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action. 
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Additional Job Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in analytical thinking and problem-solving, with the ability to interpret complex data and extract actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling clear and effective delivery of financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial analysis tools and software.
  • Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and best practices, with the ability to apply them in practical, real-world scenarios.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other related fields from a reputed university.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in related field.
